The Role
The Role:
The Multi-page Designer consistently lays out a high volume of content with efficiency and sharp craftsmanship, taking direction from a Creative lead. Your production expertise is rooted in an eye for detail, resulting in precise revisions and clean file-build methodology. You relish in repetitive work and spot opportunities to gain efficiency through new tools, workflows, and processes.
Your favorite day at work is production-heavy with some design responsibilities, including support on other types of projects and internal materials. As a specialist in cyclical work, you are energized by the year-over-year iteration of a client’s sustainability report.
This role sits in our Creative Team and reports to our Design Director.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Project delivery
- With direction from the project’s Creative lead, generate material to support design concepts and produce engaging layouts for sustainability/ESG reports while ensuring clarity and readability.
- Complete design of sustainability/ESG reports, including typography styles, photo editing, development of simple to complex infographics, and overall alignment to client brand/style guidelines that meet project objectives.
- Design a variety of other client deliverables, such as web page layouts, presentations, white papers, factsheets, and social media in collaboration with the Creative lead and Project lead.
- Accurately address client and project team feedback through rounds of revisions.
- Identify and trial opportunities for internal process and practice improvements.
Client satisfaction and revenue generation
- Build ongoing rapport with clients through quality work and product satisfaction.
- Ongoing contribution to thinkPARALLAX marketing and sales activities (e.g., campaign materials, proposals, social media, event promotions).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proficient in creating multi-page layouts (typically in the form of reports) with a large volume of content (eg, 50-100 pages).
- Advanced skills in typography, photo editing, and layout design.
- Efficient with executing design production activities.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, though able to produce work products independently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Critical thinker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function well in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.
- Eligibility for employment in the U.S.
This is a full-time, exempt position, working remotely or occasionally from the thinkPARALLAX office in Encinitas, CA. thinkPARALLAX is California-based, so the ideal candidate will be working within three hours of Pacific Standard Time.
Compensation
Compensation package:

- Salary range spans $70,000-82,000.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance. tPX covers 80% of your medical premium and 100% of your dental and vision premiums.
- Nine (9) paid federal holidays.
- Ten (10) paid tPX holidays during our two annual week-long company closures, typically the first week of August and the week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
- Fifteen (15) days of paid vacation per year, which will start accruing on your first day.
- Nine (9) days of paid sick leave annually, which will start accruing on your first day.
- A professional development benefit of 96 hours and $1,500 to be invested in pursuit of your professional development goals.
- One (1) paid volunteer day.
- A monthly wellness stipend, currently set at $75/month.
- The PARALLAXploration travel program, including 3 days of paid time off and $1,800 to explore a new place.
- The tPX 401(k) plan, including ESG funds, a tPX match up to 4% of your salary, and immediate vestment.
- The tPX profit sharing plan, an end-of-year bonus based on a percent of the year's profit in relationship to salary and tenure.
